Join us, and instructor Diana Ricketts, for a two part class to learn all the skills you'll need to double knit!
Double knitting creates two layers of fabric at the same time. This type of knitting gives the knitter options such as stockinette edges that don't roll, or a hat brim that provides extra protection against winter wind. In this workshop, you will get acquainted with the basic techniques and build them to explore colorwork, where double knitting shines!
The class will take place over 2 days a week apart with the goal to be for students to start their swatch on Day 1, work on it over the week, and come back for Day 2 to ask questions, troubleshoot any mistakes, and cast on their double knit cowl!
Class includes 2 days of instruction, yarn for cowl, pattern for swatch, and cowl. You will need to bring your own US size 8 needles.
